"Working on a construction project is fun, exciting, challenging, and satisfying. It’s not for the faint of heart, but I love what I do."

Jim Rogers

Principal

Jim has consulted for Fortune 500 companies, world-renowned institutions, public authorities, national developers, national REITs, and non-profits. As a Vice President for MBNA America, Jim oversaw all construction for the Northeast Region, which included several hundred thousand square feet of new construction annually. In addition to managing large complex construction projects, Jim was the General Manager of a super-regional shopping center with over several million square feet of retail space.

In 2007, Jim launched LeftField. As principal, Jim is hands-on and plays an integral role in every project. His expertise is in cost reporting and overall project reporting, and he often makes formal presentations on project status to senior faculty, boards, or committees.

Jim has acted on behalf of project owners for most of his professional career, and he clearly understands the roles and responsibilities of an owner’s representative: creating the foundation for an efficient project, maintaining focus on established goals, consistently developing solutions to minimize constraints, and building consensus among stakeholders in a collaborative fashion.

Jim’s vast experience as facilitator allows him to make the right decision right on the spot, and Jim has a reputation for always being straightforward with clients.

In his spare time, Jim stays young keeping up (or trying to, at any rate!) with his two kids. Being a dad keeps Jim grounded and helps him maintain perspective. It also sharpens his negotiating skills.
