A new synthetic turf field and track was built to replace the existing field which was challenged with drainage issues. In addition to the synthetic turf field, a new natural turf softball field was constructed. The complex included a new home and visitor bleacher system, concession stand and restrooms, along with state-of-the-art field lighting and sound system. New basketball courts and tennis courts were constructed at the entrance to the High School.
Along with the new fields, DPW funded infrastructure improvements along Old Connecticut Path to replace and reroute existing water and storm drainage utilities.
