Details:
Fit-out of approximately 8,151 sq ft. for laboratory use. This space was designed for the Molecular and Cellular biology group at Harvard. This lab’s design and construction was based on the concepts of interdisciplinary interaction and research. The main lab comprised of open lab with modular benches and lab table setup with all utilities being provided from the ceiling. Specially designed RNA lab space with clean room type specifications was built as part of this lab project. All the support spaces including environmentally controlled spaces, fume hood enclaves, dark rooms, tissue culture rooms, linear equipment corridors were designed around the open lab space. This lab has bench space for approximately 25 students. This project also included office space, administration space, for all the professors and students. A computer room designed for 8 students was also part of this project. Due to the presence of 3 environmentally controlled spaces, there was a specially designed mechanical room to locate all the compressors and give easy access and maintenance for the operations group.
