As part of the District Wide Improvement Project and grade reconfiguration, the new Frenchtown Elementary School is a 5-Track, grades 1-5 Elementary School. Frenchtown Elementary School is a larger mirrored image of the new Hanaford Elementary School, but on a larger scale. Similarly, it will be construction on site while the existing school remains operational. Due to a very limited site, tremendous attention was paid to creating efficient circulation, while being conscientious to the adjacent neighbor’s site lines to limit disturbances. New community athletic fields will be reconstructed on the site of the current building to provide great connection between the school and local community.
